Preston Parks and Recreation and Preston Veteran's Memorial School proudly present Kid Stuff. An affordable after school program developed to enrich and engage Preston’s young people. The program will include everything from Soccer, Arts & Crafts, and Cooking to Foreign Languages, Homework, and Drama. The goal of this program is to provide opportunities for creativity, exercise, and after-school fun!

Kids' Stuff is an exciting after school program for students at Preston Veterans Memorial School. In its second session, this new program has proven to be quite popular with students in grades K-5. Our ongoing success depends upon recruitment of a handful of volunteers. We welcome grandparents, retirees, teens, at home moms, and anyone who has a few hours to share.  This is a wonderful opportunity to share a skill or passion and bridge the generation gap!  No special skills required!

Kid Stuff volunteers are committed to a maximum of 2 hours per week for a six week session.  Our on-site coordinator is very willing to work with you to make this a great volunteer experience.  Our next session begins on March 3 and ends on April 7.  We need gardeners, crafters and nature fans, as well as assistants for our sport, science and drama instructors.  Check out the Parks and Recreation page in this issue of the Preston Press for more Kid Stuff information.  Questions?  Call (860)889-2482 ext 113.
